Loikaw diocese in eastern Myanmar has trained 38 young people to serve as youth leaders and share their knowledge in local parishes.
The diocese’s Youth Commission held the training-for-trainers program in Loikaw February 5-10. There they learnt about leadership, moral values, culture and the dangers of drug use.
“We want to produce young leaders who will pass on to other youths what they were taught here and apply this teaching to their daily lives,” said Father David Buyar, the diocese’s youth director.
